Sun, Salt and Shovel is a running journal of short notes on mindset, relationships, and the seemingly small decisions that add up to a life.

Nothing here is polished advice — just things I’ve had to remind myself of more than once, written down so they stick. If a few of them land for you too, that’s a bonus.

Why Sun, Salt and Shovel?

The name originates from snow removal. While sun, salt, and a shovel each help clear snow independently, using all three together is far more efficient.

Similarly, we can get by in life by doing random things here and there. However, when you employ all available tools and resources to do everything you can, you can build a truly good life for yourself.
