In the end, the internal work we do is all that matters.
Lessons and learnings are all there is to life. When we say "why does this keep happening to me" it is because we haven't learned the lesson from the experience. Until we do, the situation repeats. It is similar to a video game: we must defeat the level boss to move to the next level. Until we do, we are staying at this level - unless we get a cheat code.
Same with life. We are here to learn something specific and "grow". That is the purpose of life. Until we learn, a similar or worse life could continue. While this may or may not be the last level for us in the human journey, we need to learn first in order to move ahead. We are stuck in a loop otherwise - unless we get a cheat code of attaining enlightenment.
Each of us is here for a different reason and at different stage of our journey. A quiet, deep reflection of your life's events, experiences, your reactions, and thought patterns will reveal a through line that will point to the reason you are here. Pursue that. Everything else is secondary.
